This 1BR apt in west Des Moines was just right for our 5-week stay. It was spotlessly clean & fresh. It was spacious with a very well-equipped kitchen. The bedroom had a dresser & nightstand. The queen bed was reasonably comfortable & there were plenty of linens. The walk-in closet was big enough for two people, lots of hanging space, shelving, and a big laundry hamper. The washer & dryer were stacked, full-sized units - plenty big enough to wash sheets and towels and full laundry loads. The bathroom was squeaky clean, had a tub (nice plus!) and plenty of storage along with a generous supply of towels. There was also a nice deck off the living room with a small table & 2 chairs. The apt came with a nice garage. It was surprisingly quiet most of the time, esp at night. 2 things I would suggest improving: TV service was streaming only, no local access at all. Basic cable would be an upgrade. Also, the couch in the LR was uncomfortable, too deep for sitting. Overall a fine experience.

We were in Des Moines in conjunction with the National Senior Games. The location was near a few of the event venues. Wambui's place was perfectly comfortable and convenient for us. The location is also near a quaint shopping area at Valley Junction, the East Village and downtown Des Moines. There are many dining options near the apartment.

This is a great apartment in a great location of the Des Moines area. Very clean accommodations and friendly and responsive host. It is in a quiet area of WDM away from the congestion of Jordan Creek, but very close to it and everything you need for shopping, great restaurants and highway system to get anywhere in the metropolitan area relatively quickly. We highly recommend Wambui and would stay here again.

We stayed here for a softball tournament. It was great location for all of the main fields used throughout Des Moines, but even better location for things around games (restaurants, the mall, top golf, etc). Host was super responsive and proactive about communication. Getting into the place was super easy. Would stay here again for ball next year!

, once we entered our “home” it was beautiful, on the newer side and very clean!!! The ac unit pumps fresh, cold air which was amazing!!! Everything felt clean including the carpet on our feet. It was very well taken cared of and would definitely stay again and recommend. The community felt safe and this was definitely a pristine apartment. overall was a great home! Great contact person! 10/10, would stay again and recommend!

She was a great host, quickly responded to our needs and requests. Price was better than most locations. Few issues with house keeping, but not hosts fault, and host resolved quickly and graciously, can’t knock her for that. Would highly recommend and stay again!!

Had a great stay at Wambui’s clean, quiet, comfortable and spacious space! The garage was a nice perk during this hot weather! A lovely home-base during our short stay to meet up with friends in West Des Moines. Highly recommended!

This is a fantastic apartment, and Wambui is a great host! Things to note: This is a 1-bedroom apartment with an open floor plan, high ceilings, and in a great location. 10/10 for security. We were the very first to use the unit. The sliding patio door opens right to a green space which is perfect for walking your furry friends. The only downside to note is we did find some tics on our shoes and dogs, which is absolutely expected given the natural settings. Just something to pay attention to. There is also a dog park in the complex. We did not find any tics there. Of all the Airbnb's my wife and I have stayed at, this bed was the most comfortable. All furniture is brand new and comfortable. The complex, while busy because it's large, was surprisingly quiet. Should we travel back to Des Moines we'd love to stay there again. While the unit is fully equipped, you will need your own K-cup pods, coffee filters and coffee, salt and pepper, and things of that nature. 9.95/10
